{"id":16,"date":"2019-05-26T17:34:39","date_gmt":"2019-05-26T17:34:39","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/ebayreinstatement.com\/?p=16"},"modified":"2019-05-26T17:34:39","modified_gmt":"2019-05-26T17:34:39","slug":"paypals-user-agreement-from-june-25-2016","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/ebayreinstatement.com\/index.php\/2019\/05\/26\/paypals-user-agreement-from-june-25-2016\/","title":{"rendered":"PayPal\u2019s User Agreement from June 25, 2016"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Periodically PayPal updates its user agreement.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The one took effect June 25, 2016. \u00a0There are just a few changes of note:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>REVISED SECTION 11.5<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re making a clarifying change to Section 11.5 and adding a new item that will be excluded from PayPal Seller Protection. &nbsp;The new item that will not be eligible for Seller Protection is:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Items equivalent to cash, including gift cards.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 13.2 Eligibility Requirements<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re updating the eligibility requirement for Purchase Protection.&nbsp; The revisions to Section 13.2 will be as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>We\u2019re deleting the requirement that user\u2019s pay for the full amount of the item with one payment.<\/li><li>We\u2019re adding that you must respond to PayPal\u2019s request for documentation and other information in a timely manner.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>SECTION 13.3 Ineligible Items<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re updating the list of items that are not eligible for Purchase Protection.&nbsp; The new items that will not be eligible are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Payments on crowdfunding platforms<\/li><li>Anything purchased from or an amount paid to a government agency<\/li><li>Gambling, gaming and\/or any other activity with an entry fee and a prize<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re also clarifying the exclusion for items equivalent to cash to now include stored value items such as gift cards and pre-paid cards.<br><strong>SECTION 13.5 Dispute Resolution<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We\u2019re updating the second bullet of Section 13.5 and are now requiring all buyers to wait at least 7 days to escalate a dispute to a claim regardless of the transaction amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.modeeworld.com\/forums\/forum\/everything-paypal-in-the-u-s\/paypal-discussions\/70466-paypal-policy-updates-for-june-25-2016-not-much-of-note\">https:\/\/www.modeeworld.com\/forums\/forum\/everything-paypal-in-the-u-s\/paypal-discussions\/70466-paypal-policy-updates-for-june-25-2016-not-much-of-note<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Periodically PayPal updates its user agreement.
